You can book an online, face to face consultation with Dr Bamonte, Ophthalmologist.
Through a live consultation with Dr Bamonte you will be able to expose your eye health concerns and let doctor analyze your case in detail.
Prior to consultation you will be able to upload relevant documents concerning previous consultations, eye exams, OCts and photos of your eyes which upon review will enable Dr Bamonte to better understand your problem and advise you as close as possible to a normal, office based visit.
This consultation may not be able to completely eliminate the need of an in person consultation, however, should an office based consultation in Rome be needed, the fee of this visit with Dr Bamonte will be diminished by the amount paid for the online appointment.

Reserve your consultation spot according to Dr Bamonte availabilities. A typical appointment will last from 20 to 30 minutes, but don't worry, it will last as long as needed!

Describe your problem and upload your documents

Explain us in details what your problem is. The more accurate you are the best the doctor can understand your condition.
Upload any previous documents concerning your eyes: think of OCT's, fundus pictures and other ophthalmologists reports.
Even if your not able to upload them, be sure to have them at your disposal during the online consultation.

Online Consultation with Dr Bamonte

You will have a 25 minutes (don't worry, we don't look at seconds..) face to face, online, live consultation with Dr Bamonte.
You can submit your case to Dr Bamonte as you would during a normal office based visit. Dr Bamonte will review your case, evaluate any documents you might have uploaded and advice you accordingly.
During this online consultation he will not be able to check your vision and/or your eyes as he would do in the office.
Nevertheless, as 10 years of online consultations have already proved, in many cases, he will be able to address your problem completely without the need of a physical check, by providing you all the infos on how to proceed further to solve your case.
Should he not be able to assess your condition without an office based ophthalmic consult he will advise you accordingly.
The price you pay for this online live consultation, should you decide to come to visit Dr Bamonte in Rome, Italy, would be completely (100%) deducted from the fee of a normal physical examination in the office (140 euro). You will only pay the difference (60 euro).

Dr Giulio Bamonte

Dr Giulio Bamonte, born in Rome in 1978, is a an ophthalmologist with further sub-specialization in vitreoretinal surgery.

Beside his private practice in Rome, Italy, Dr Bamonte is consultant vitreoretinal surgeon in The Hague, Netherlands.
His main area of interest are vitreoretinal (floaters, retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular surgery) and cataract surgery.
He has completed more than 8000 surgical procedures as first operator.
Dr Bamonte speaks fluently english, dutch and french, and of course italian.

Which language can i speak during the consultation?
Dr Bamonte speaks Italian, English and Dutch very fluently. I can speak in French as well, although to a lesser extent.

Can I get glass prescription through an online consultation via this website?
No you can't get a glass prescription. Dr Bamonte will not be able to measure your vision nor to check your eyes as he would do in the office.

Can I get eye drops or any other drug prescribed through an online consultation via this website ?
Dr Bamonte can prescribe you eye drops and other drugs only if you are located in Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands, countries where he hold a license to practice.

How can I prepare my self for a consultation with Dr Bamonte?
The purpose of this service is to help you as good as possibile to solve your eye problem. However, Dr Bamonte cannot check your eyes through a video. So in order to maximize your experience you should be able to present previous documents regarding your eyes which upon review can help Dr Bamonte have a better understanding of your condition. Think at previous consultations with an eye doctor, OCT reports, photos of your retina (back of the eye).

What if the doctor ask me to come in the office for an in person consultation?
It may well be that Dr Bamonte advises you to further proceed with an in person, office based, consultation. Should you decide to come to Rome and visit Dr Bamonte at his office, the price you have paid for the online consultation will be completely deducted ( within 4 months from the online consultation). If you decide instead to visit Dr Bamonte in The Hague, no discount can be applied.

Terms & Conditions

Cancellation Policy
Once the booking is completed we will check if everything is all right and bill your card. If we are not able to proceed with the video call we will refund you. However, as stated elsewhere, the price a costumer pays for the online consultation is completely deductible form the fee of an office based, in person, consultation with Dr Bamonte in Rome, if this in person consultation happens within 2 months.

Privacy
Patients infos will be used for the purpose of the consultation only and will not be stored.
By booking an online consultation with Dr Bamonte, you agree to us using the infos you provide for the purpose of the consultation.
